The Modern Landscape

This exhibition of student and faculty artwork from North Yarmouth Academy highlights a diverse range of student work, reflecting each student's personal view of what landscape painting is. Students were tasked with studying the paintings of the Hudson River School which evoke themes of contrast and juxtaposition to create their own modern version of a landscape. They used color, mood, gesture, lighting, perspective, writing and modern iconography to capture their ideas.

Participating student artists include Amos Eichler '27, Halo Park '26 Eva Cusano '26, Addie Dornbach '29, Eben Thibideau '28, Skyler Dunphy 27, Sam Grady '26, Caroline Pond '29, Ellie Salhman '27, Ellie Seely "28 Ellie Sheldon 29, Lola Roper 29, Paisley Dutta 29, Evan Hong '29, Reese Weaver '29 and Read Weiss 29. The exhibition also features contributions from Upper School Art Teacher P.C. Myer.
