High School Auditorium Renamed Yarmouth Performing Arts Center (YPAC)

Thanks to the efforts of the Yarmouth Arts Board of Directors, the Yarmouth High School Auditorium has been renamed the Yarmouth Performing Arts Center (YPAC).  In a letter to the School Committee’s Policy Sub-committee, Yarmouth Arts Board President Ann Swardlick requested the name change, emphasizing the importance of the performance space to all the residents of Yarmouth.  The School Committee endorsed the idea wholeheartedly and voted to accept the change.

Yarmouth Arts last year sponsored a jazz concert and several movie showings in the space.  Swardlick remarked on the new name, “Yarmouth Performing Arts Center more accurately reflects the value of the performing arts to the cultural life of the entire Yarmouth community.”
